NewScientist magazine shows research proves that Om chanting or meditation can boost the activity of genes that promote good health. Just a few minutes a day is enough to show results. The research team is looking at whether the techniques can be used as an adjunct to conventional medicine in people with high blood pressure, inflammatory bowel disease and cancer. It was published on 11 May 2013 by Andy Coghlan. Bring on the OM! I find this practice is beautiful when done with others especially to help soothe emotional tension, grief, sadness & aid connection. We tend to do this more in the progressive classes so please ask me if you would like to try it and you are in the beginner's class.
