Craniosacral therapy works with the muscular-skeletal system in releasing restrictions of fascia but there is a focus on the spine and nervous system. There are specific hand placements for different areas of the spine and skull to work in releasing different areas that may be jammed, restricted or compressed or simply holding you together long after an injury has occured creating compensatory patterns. Craniosacral therapy is deeply relaxing. It may be done with somato-emotional release or with myofascial release or on it’s own. I am trained mechanically with Upledger but also enjoy treating via the biodynamic approach. It’s ideal for stress, insomnia, anxiety, stress, headaches, many types of muscular-skeletal pain, restricted fascia and so on. I LOVE giving CST as it feels like our nervous systems tune in and take over when you listen to the inherent language of the body and follow it’s intelligence whilst having the mechanics as a framework in the background.
